Paint, Drink, Repeat! Its all about social art, fun with friends at your local bar or restaurant. We provide step-by-step instructions for making your very own, unique art work. Classes are for Adults 18+ unless noted, Kids classes also available. Even if you have never painted you’ll leave the class with your very own masterpiece, follow the steps or do your own thing, what ever you do you can't do it wrong! FAQ
Do I need to sign up in advance?
Yes, our classes have limited seating and we required payment in advanced, you can register online on the classes tab. Regular scheduled events are $25 to $35 per person. This includes all your materials: canvas (12x12 or 16x20) , all paints, an apron, brushes and an easel to use during your event) as well as, 2 to 2.5 hours of step-by-step instruction class. Food and drink are additional for purchase.
Can I bring children to the event?
Many painters attending Cork n Canvas Iowa events are getting away from their children and enjoying date night, girls night our or just a night out. Also to respect the relationship with our venues and their policies, most locations are 21+, like the Brewery & Winery. Public parties are for 18+, private parties can be booked ages 8+
Is wine included?
No. Food and beverage are not included in our ticket price but are available for purchase separately through most of our venues. Eat Local, Drink Local & Paint Local. Support your local businesses. Some events are BYOB events based on their locations (comedy clubs, craft stores or beauty salons) where food and drink are not served. If you would like to bring your own bottle of wine, check with the venue first. Some venues do not allow it at all and others will charge a corkage fee. Most of our venues host a happy hour for our guests during the painting class, which sometimes ends up being a more cost effective alternative!
How early should I arrive?
It is best to arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the event start time. Once the table is set you can check in and claim your spot. Arriving early will also ensure you get a good seat as we offer seats first come first serve. You can also come early if you want to have dinner at one of local restaurants or bars, its hard to eat and paint at the same time. Appetizers & drinks are perfect while painting, but come early to eat a full meal.
What do I wear?
We will provide aprons, but we recommend wearing something you wouldn't mind getting paint on- just in case! Remember- we are using acrylic paints and as paint comes right off your hands or table tops it stains clothes. Dress comfortably and remember splatter happens. So be sure to leave nice jeans, shirts, jackets and purses at home or in the car. Cork n Canvas Iowa cannot be responsible for any paint damage.
I missed a painting that I really want to paint! How often will you repeat paintings?
Please let us know what painting you are looking for! Cork.N.Canvas.Iowa@gmail.com While paintings are not on a set schedule, we try to rotate new and favorite paintings in the public events each month. If you make a request we will keep this in mind when scheduling future events. If you are itching to paint it ASAP you can always schedule a private party of 10 to 30 of your friends.
How do I move my reservation?
Cancellation policy: Cork N Canvas Iowa offers an art instruction and entertainment event that can be compared to a concert or theater event. We realize that unforeseen things happen, but we also would appreciate the time to offer the seat to others and fill the spot. Due to credit card fees, no refunds are issues, but you can move your ticket to another event 24-hours or more prior to your scheduled class. Due to the time it takes to prepare the class, NO store credit is given for last minute cancellations or no shows. Your ticket is fully transferable, however, and you may let someone of your own choosing use your ticket in your absence. Cancellations should be made by email only. If you need to cancel or move your reservation you must notify Cork n Canvas Iowa by email Cork.n.canvas.iowa@gmail.com 24 hours prior to the event you are scheduled for in order to be eligible move into another class. In your email, please be sure to include; your name, location of the event, date of scheduled event, and date you wish to move to.
